River Valley High School win 2012 Singapore National Final

The Singapore F1 in School Technology Challenge was held at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on the 25th of July 2012.

Fyre fliers from river valley high schoolThe team from River Valley High School, Fyre Fliers, won the Formula One Class Challenge and will represent Singapore at the World Finals in 2013. Team X-TREME from Raffles Girls’ School won the Bloodhound SSC category and will represent Singapore as a collaboration team at the World Finals in 2013.

Team x-treme from raffles girls' schoolThe teams also won prize money of S$4000.00 and S$2000.00 respectively for their effort.

This year, the judging and interviews were conducted by Associate Professor Shirish P Patil from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Dr. Soh Gim Song from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). The participants gained a lot from their interaction with them.
